WOLFSBURG (dpa-AFX) - German car giant Volkswagen AG (VKW.L, VLKAF.PK, VOW.BE) is considering implementing a mandatory rotation of key executives in its engine development groups across the company's main brands, according to media reports.
Moving key managers and software developers to new positions after a certain period would prevent structures that block change or conceal mistakes from forming, Volkswagen Chairman Hans Dieter Pötsch reportedly said
Volkswagen is undergoing a massive management restructuring in the wake of an emissions crisis that wiped billions of euros off its market value and threatens the company with huge fines and compensation for shareholders and customers in the wake of litigation in the U.S. and Europe.
