ZoomerMedia Limited Announces Results for the Year Ended August 31, 2015

Finanznachrichten News

TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 12/24/15 -- ZoomerMedia Limited (TSX VENTURE: ZUM) (the "Company"), the leader in serving the interests of the 45+ "Zoomer" market in Canada, today announced its financial results for the year ended August 31, 2015.

Results for the Year Ended August 31, 2015

For the twelve months ended August 31, 2015 the Company had revenues of $54.4 million, operating expenses of $50.0 million and EBITDA of $4.4 million. Net income for the twelve months ended August 31, 2014 was $137,454.

For the fourteen months ended August 31, 2014 the Company had revenues of $63.6 million, operating expenses of $59.7 million and EBITDA of $3.9 million. Net loss for the fourteen months ended August 31, 2014 was $2.6 million. The Company changed its year end from June 30th to August 31st resulting in a 14 month year ending August 31, 2014.

EBITDA is a non-IFRS earnings measure which does not have any standardized meaning prescribed by IFRS and therefore may not be comparable to EBITDA presented by other companies. EBITDA represents earnings before interest expense, income taxes, depreciation and amortization. This measure is important to management since it is used by potential investors to evaluate the Company's operating performance and ability to incur and service debt, and as a valuation metric. Investors are cautioned that this non-IFRS financial measure should not be construed as an alternative to other measures of financial performance calculated in accordance with IFRS.

Additional Information

Detailed financial information and Management's Discussion and Analysis for the year ended August 31, 2015 can be found on SEDAR's website at www.sedar.com. The financial information included in this release is qualified in its entirety and should be read together with the audited consolidated financial statements for the year ended August 31, 2015, including the notes thereto.
