REXBURG, ID--(Marketwired - January 11, 2016) - Mountain America Credit Union is partnering with Voices of Change, Inc. to bring motivational speaker LT Smooth back to Eastern Idaho youth and high schools for the Idaho Youth Outreach Program. Now through January 15, Smooth will make several addresses throughout the region to junior high and high school students. He brings a message of hope to those struggling with difficult issues such as bullying and substance abuse.
"The impact made on kids by this tour is incredible. We hope any Idaho youth who are feeling troubled will be inspired to reach out for help," says Sharon Cook, SVP of Marketing for Mountain America. "We've seen this message influence countless youth so far, and that is gratifying."
"This is truly an amazing opportunity to reach thousands of students through the generosity of Mountain America," says Donna Benfield, CEO of Voices of Change, Inc. "LT possesses an important talent in reaching students who are struggling or may have even talked of suicide and other issues keeping them from reaching their full potential. LT warmly connects and gives every heart that's beating hope for change."
This is the second Eastern Idaho youth tour for LT Smooth, a Grammy-nominated musician, who also performs at Rexburg's annual International Summerfest. Smooth, a New Zealand native, overcame his own issues growing up in a life filled with crime and addiction. He is an accomplished musician who has performed all over the world.
