CANBERA (dpa-AFX) - Australia will on Wednesday release Q4 figures for consumer prices, highlighting a modest day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.
Inflation is expected to add 0.3 percent on quarter and 1.6 percent on year after rising 0.5 percent on quarter and 1.5 percent on year in the three months prior. The RBA's trimmed mean and weighted median are both called higher by 0.5 percent on quarter and 2.1 percent on year.
Australia also will see December results for the leading index from Westpac; in November, the index dipped 0.2 percent.
China will release December figures for industrial profits; in November, profits were down 1.4 percent on year.
Japan will see January results for its small business confidence survey; in December, the index score was 48.3.
