WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Crown Holdings Inc. (CCK) released earnings for its fourth quarter that advanced compared to the same period last year.
The company said its bottom line totaled $97 million, or $0.70 per share. This was higher than $66 million, or $0.48 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.
Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.69 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
The company said revenue for the quarter fell 4.7% to $2.03 billion. This was down from $2.13 billion last year.
