WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - International Flavors And Fragrances Inc (IFF) released earnings for fourth quarter that fell compared to the same period last year.
The company said its earnings came in at $84.48 million, or $1.05 per share. This was down from $87.31 million, or $1.07 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.
Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.15 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
The company said revenue for the quarter fell 5.3% to $715.65 million. This was down from $756.08 million last year.
