CANBERA (dpa-AFX) - Australia will on Wednesday release Q4 figures for gross domestic product, highlighting a modest day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.
GDP is expected to add 0.5 percent on quarter and 2.6 percent on year after gaining 0.9 percent on quarter and 2.5 percent on year in the three months prior.
South Korea will see January data for industrial production, current account and retail sales.
Industrial output is expected to fall 1.0 percent on month and 1.5 percent on year after rising 1.3 percent on month and losing 1.9 percent on year a month earlier.
The current account surplus id pegged at $5.7 billion, down from $7.46 billion in the previous month. Retail sales were down 0.1 percent on month and up 3.5 percent on year in December.
South Korea also will see February results for the manufacturing PMI from Nikkei; in January, the score was 49.5.
Japan will provide February numbers for monetary base; in January, the base surged 28.9 percent on year.
