WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Kraton Performance Polymers, Inc. (KRA) announced earnings for its first quarter that increased from last year.
The company said its bottom line advanced to $24.91 million, or $0.80 per share. This was up from $24.16 million, or $0.76 per share, in last year's first quarter.
Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.55 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
The company said revenue for the quarter rose 60.6% to $419.92 million. This was up from $261.43 million last year.
