LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwired - May 14, 2016) - Italy has attracted tourists for centuries who come for the friendly people, the vibrant culture, the history, food, art and architecture. Diamond Resorts International®, a leader in the vacation ownership industry with over 420 managed and affiliated properties and cruise itineraries, offers two properties in the small medieval Italian town of Soriano nel Cimino. Approximately 105 km from Rome, it is an unspoiled gem hidden near the borders of Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio with everything that visitors seek in Italy: cobblestone streets, exquisite trattorias, vegetable stands and a countryside that abounds with castles and historic churches. Although they are separately named, "Palazzo Catalani" and "Palazzo at Soriano", the two are similar resorts but with some distinct differences between them. To help clarify guests when booking, Diamond Resorts Reviews has taken a closer look at them both.
Palazzo Catalani is the primary resort, a nobleman's regal 17th century mansion, which exhibits the distinguished allure of classic Italian architecture and design. The building is untouched by time in many ways, with elegant, bright rooms that boast such features as original fresco wall paintings and wood-beamed ceilings and exposed stone walls and floors. Every room includes a partially-equipped kitchen and they range in size from a club suite to a one-bedroom.
Palazzo at Soriano is a newer addition, situated just across the street from Palazzo Catalani, in what were once the cattle sheds on the mansion's grounds, built directly into the hillside. Diamond Resorts International® made a considerable investment in this stunning conversion, turning the ancient stables into cozy, pristine, unique rooms which opened to the public in 2013, with gorgeous wood beams and exposed copper ductwork. The rooms each have their own particular character and range in size from a studio to a two-bedroom. All of them have partially-equipped kitchens, flat screen TVs with DVD player, and other modern appliances.
Diamond Resorts Reviews suggests that regardless of which room option a guest chooses, they will always get the full benefit of the resort. The property features exposed stone walls throughout the grounds and stunning views from the tiered gardens that rise up the hillside. Guests invariably praise the amazing Jacuzzi built in a cavern, as well as a fitness center with sauna and whirlpool. The Palazzo Catalani restaurant has a friendly and comfortable atmosphere, where Chef Roberto designs a rich daily à la carte menu featuring a variety of meat, fish, and vegetarian dishes. Specialties include traditional Italian food including Bucatini Pasta Amatriciana style or Risotto Pescatora style as well as more elaborate dishes like Oyster Scampi and Shrimp Crudité.
