The G7 Ise-Shima Summit is the first G7 Summit to be convened in Asia since the Summit in Toyako, Hokkaido, eight years ago.
The G7 Summit is a forum where leaders from Japan, United States, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Italy, Canada, and the European Union, which share fundamental values such as freedom, democracy, the rule of law, and human rights, have frank discussions on solutions that address global challenges.
This time in Ise-Shima, there were fruitful discussions regarding issues confronting the international community such as the global economy and trade, foreign policy, including counter terrorism, the Middle East, Ukraine and North Korea, climate change and energy, sustainable development, quality infrastructure investment, health and women. Outcome documents are available on the Summit website. (http://www.japan.go.jp/g7/summit/documents/index.html)
