WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - A JetBlue passenger was forced to change her dress after the crew deemed her shorts to be too short and could offend other families.
Maggie McMuffin, a burlesque dancer, says that JetBlue employees told her that she 'needed to put something else on or I would not be allowed to board the flight.'
McMuffin was trying to board a Seattle-bound JetBlue flight in Boston on May 18.
The airline is backing its crew's decision, but, they have decided to compensate McMuffin for the cost of the trunks she bought at the airport and also gift her a $200 flight voucher.
'The gate and on board crew discussed the customer's clothing and determined that the burlesque shorts may offend other families on the flight,' a JetBlue spokesman.
