WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - USANA Health Sciences (USNA) revealed a profit for its second quarter that increased from last year.
The company said its bottom line climbed to $25.76 million, or $2.07 per share. This was higher than $25.42 million, or $1.92 per share, in last year's second quarter.
Analysts had expected the company to earn $2.05 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
The company said revenue for the quarter rose 10.8% to $258.51 million. This was up from $233.24 million last year.
