WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Equifax Inc (EFX) revealed earnings for its second quarter that advanced compared to the same period last year.
The company said its bottom line climbed to $172.7 million, or $1.43 per share. This was higher than $139.1 million, or $1.15 per share, in last year's second quarter.
Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.36 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
The company said revenue for the quarter rose 19.6% to $811.3 million. This was up from $678.1 million last year.
