Finanznachrichten News

PÖYRY PLC          Company Announcement 17 August 2016 at 15:00 EEST

Changes in Pöyry PLC's Group Executive Committee

As part of the decision related to the group's transformation strategy to simplify its organisation and to increase the decision making authority in the organizational layers, Pöyry PLC is reducing its Group Executive Committee from 10 to 7 members. This includes the nomination of a dedicated head of transformation who will focus on simplification, implementation of cultural change and the reduction of fixed costs. Furthermore, Global Sales and Project Management will be merged into the Energy Business Group. This change has no impact on Pöyry's reporting segments.

"These changes will contribute to increased client focus and simplification of our operational model. This will also accelerate the transformation for the whole group," says Martin à Porta, President and CEO, Pöyry PLC.

Anja McAlister, currently Executive Vice President and President of the Energy Business Group, has been appointed Head of Transformation and Strategy, and will also lead the Human Resources team on an interim basis. Anja McAlister will be responsible for implementing Pöyry's operational framework, the transformation programme, streamlining the support functions and supporting the President and CEO on Portfolio decisions as well as in turning around loss making units. Anja McAlister continues as a member of the Group Executive Committee, reporting to the President and CEO.

Richard Pinnock, currently Executive Vice President Global Sales and Project Management has been appointed Executive Vice President of the merging Energy Business Group and Global Sales and Project Management. He continues as a member of the Group Executive Committee, reporting to the President and CEO.

Juuso Pajunen (MSc, Economics), 34, currently Vice President Finance, Group Business Control, has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Pöyry PLC. He succeeds Jukka Pahta in this position and will be a member of the Group Executive Committee. Juuso Pajunen will report to the President and CEO.

She succeeds Anne Viitala in this position and will be a member of the senior management team. Jutta Karlsson will report to the President and CEO.

Marcelo Cordaro, President of Regional Operations Latin America and Vice Chairman Regional Operations, will focus and dedicate all his efforts to the clients in the Latin American market and increase the profitability of his unit. He continues reporting to the President and CEO, and moves from being a member of the Group Executive Committee to be part of the senior management team.

Jaana Rinne, Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Anne Viitala, Executive Vice President and Group General Counsel, and Jukka Pahta, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, will leave the Pöyry group after an individually agreed period.

"I am excited to see Anja McAlister, Richard Pinnock, Jutta Karlsson and Juuso Pajunen in their new positions, as they role model what I am looking for. On behalf of the Board of Directors, Martin à Porta and Henrik Ehrnrooth would like to thank Jaana Rinne, Anne Viitala and Jukka Pahta for their years of dedication and hard work to the Pöyry group.
