WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - The U.S. has issued a warning to its citizens to avoid Starbucks coffee shops and other such chains that are frequently used by Westerners in the Turkish city of Gaziantep, near the border with Syria.
The U.S. Embassy has warned that Turkish police were investigating a 'terror cell' in Gaziantep, who are targeting 'shopping centers, Starbucks, Big Chef Restaurants' and other businesses in the city.
'US citizens in Gaziantep are advised to exercise caution when patronizing these sorts of businesses and to avoid them if possible,' it said in the notice published late Wednesday.
