WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - United Natural Foods (UNFI) revealed a profit for first quarter that retreated compared to the same period last year.
The company said its profit declined to $29.22 million, or $0.58 per share. This was lower than $30.13 million, or $0.60 per share, in last year's first quarter.
The company said revenue for the quarter rose 9.6% to $2.28 billion. This was up from $2.08 billion last year.
