WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Sanmina Corporation (SANM) reported a profit for its second quarter that climbed compared to the same period last year.
The company said its bottom line advanced to $59.07 million, or $0.76 per share. This was higher than $49.30 million, or $0.63 per share, in last year's second quarter.
Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.70 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
The company said revenue for the quarter rose 4.3% to $1.68 billion. This was up from $1.61 billion last year.
