BUENOS AIRES (dpa-AFX) - Argentina and China are moving forward in the negotiations to open the Asian market to the Argentinean frozen meat.
The discussion took place during an Argentinean Ministry of Agroindustry's delegation trip to China. The South American country is also pushing for the opening of the Chinese market for new products.
As a result, Buenos Aires and Beijing have decided to promote the inspection of new beef and poultry packing plants.
The bilateral meeting was attended by the Argentinean Secretary of Agroindustrial Markets, Marisa Bircher, the Argentinean ambassador to China, Diego Guelar, and the Chinese Deputy Minister for Quality Supervision and Quarantine, Li Yuanping.
