Creates Distributed Keys Without Sending the Key or Algorithmic Components of the Key
AUSTIN, TX / ACCESSWIRE / February 13, 2018 / CipherLoc Corporation (OTCQB: CLOK), a leading provider of highly secure data protection technology, today announced that it is extending its Stealth Key method to exchange cipher keys between devices to use both Physically Unclonable Functions (PUFs) and signature blocks.
"We are pleased to announce that this unqiue method of sharing Cryptographic Keys will protect data without the worry of sending and storing encryption keys and preventing data breaches," said Michael DeLaGarza, CEO of CipherLoc. "In today's world where it's not a question of 'if' a company will get breached but rather 'when,' the use of our technology to safeguard data can act as a final layer of defense."
PUFs can be selected from a number of previously identified characteristics of a circuit much like the biometrics of a human being. These PUFs allow for the ability to create a nearly unlimited number of keys. Additionally, keys of any size can also be created from the PUF information. PUFs can also be used with unit signatures, increasing the entropy of the key generation for a unit. The result is that the user sees increased security for data without having to send information related to the key.
Stealth Key creation and use are transparent to the user. Using the patented CipherLoc Polymorphic Key Progression Algorithm (PKPA) technology the latency and overhead are negligible. The widespread applicability of Stealth Key makes it useful in any application requiring secure communications. Stealth Key algorithm can also be adapted to hardware implementations on systems as small as IoT or as large as supercomputing. CipherLoc's experience in secure messaging increases encryption speed while enhancing data security.
CipherLoc is currently completing the implementation and expects commercialization by the end of 2018.
