Press release
Lund, April 25, 2018
Doro Care has entered into an agreement with Oslo municipality on handling of social alarm services in five districts. By this Doro Care, which is already responsible for social alarm services in 10 districts, will handle the social alarm services in all districts in Oslo municipality.
The new agreement covers the districts Frogner, Vestre Aker, Nordre Aker, St. Hanshaugen and Ullern with about 3,500 users of social alarms altogether. The agreement includes receiving and forwarding of social alarms, call-out of care personnel to users and technical maintenance of user alarm equipment. The duration of the agreement is one year with an extension option of one year. The value of the agreement is estimated at SEK 9m - 10m annually.
In addition to the agreement for social alarm services, Doro Care is exchanging the alarm equipment of the users of social alarms in Oslo municipality. The exchange to digital alarm equipment, including SIM-cards and access to the administrative tool i-care online, is done under a rental agreement which enables a fully digital alarm chain for Oslo municipality. In total, 9,300 alarm units will be exchanged during 2018 - 2019, a work that has already started.
"We are very proud to be trusted with the handling of all social alarm services in all districts in Oslo municipality, and to assist in the first project of digitalising the handling of social alarms of this magnitude in Norway. With the solid technical knowledge and thorough experience of safety services for seniors that we have within Doro, and the understanding of the needs and requirements that the long-lasting co-operation with Oslo municipality has given, we have good prerequisites to build a complete end-to-end digital alarm chain for social alarms in Oslo together", comments Robert Puskaric, President and CEO of Doro.
"It is important to Oslo municipality to have a reliable handling of social alarm services of high quality. Our experience of co-operation with Doro Care is positive, and we consider Doro Care to be an excellent total solution provider due to their ability and competence in digitalising the entire social alarm chain", says Morten Thorgersen, senior consultant in the Health care unit at Oslo municipality.
