Today, the Vilnius-based Telia Company Group shared service centre enters a new stage of development and finalises some important formalities: almost 200 employees of Telia Lietuva which provide services to Telia Group are being transferred to Telia Global Services Lithuania, UAB, (which to date has been a subsidiary of Telia Lietuva), and a 100 per cent stake in Telia Global Services Lithuania is acquired by Telia Company AB.
"From now on the shared service centre, Telia Global Services Lithuania, becomes a subsidiary of Telia Company. As our team provides services to the whole Telia Group, after sorting out the formalities we will further concentrate on the development and strengthening of service centre activities as well as formation of new teams", says Marius Ivanauskas, Head of Telia Global Services Lithuania.
Currently, the base of the Telia Global Services Lithuania team is formed by IT and network specialists, as well as employees involved in the development of smart TV solutions, procurement and other services. In the nearest future it is planned to increase the number of employees up to 400.
The decision to establish the first Telia Group shared service center in Lithuania was made in the autumn of 2017. A dormant subsidiary of Telia Lietuva, UAB Kompetencijos Ugdymo Centras was chosen as the base for the establishment of the service centre Therefore, on 30 January 2018 the company's name was changed to Telia Global Services Lithuania, UAB. For the meantime the only Telia Company shared service center is located in the business centre K29 in Vilnius.
The service centre that serves the whole Telia Group provides a wide range of global services - starting from IT and technology to procurement, finance and other internal services.
