NEW YORK, Sept. 25, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- S&P Dow Jones Indices will make the following changes to the S&P 500, S&P MidCap 400 and S&P SmallCap 600:
S&P MidCap 400 constituent Rollins Inc. (NYSE :ROL ) will replace Andeavor (NYSE :ANDV ) in the S&P 500, S&P SmallCap 600 constituent Inogen Inc. (NASD: INGN) will replace Rollins in the S&P MidCap 400, and Vanda Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASD: VNDA) will replace Inogen in the S&P SmallCap 600 prior to the open of trading on Monday, October 1. S&P 500 constituent Marathon Petroleum Corp. (NYSE :MPC ) is acquiring Andeavor in a deal expected to close on or about that date pending final conditions.
Garrett Motion Inc. (NYSE :GTX ) will replace Aceto Corp. (NASD: ACET) in the S&P SmallCap 600 effective prior to the open of trading on Tuesday, October 2. S&P 100 & 500 constituent Honeywell International Inc. (NYSE :HON ) is spinning-off Garrett Motion to shareholders in a deal expected to be completed on October 1 pending final conditions. Post spin-off, Honeywell will remain in the S&P 100 and 500. Aceto is ranked near the bottom of the S&P SmallCap 600 and is no longer representative of the small-cap market space.
Rollins provides pest and termite control services. Headquartered in Atlanta, GA, the company will be added to the S&P 500 GICS (Global Industry Classification Standard) Environmental & Facilities Services Sub-Industry index.
Inogen primarily develops, manufactures, and markets portable oxygen concentrators. Headquartered in Goleta, CA, the company will be added to the S&P MidCap 400 GICS Health Care Equipment Sub-Industry index.
Vanda Pharmaceuticals focuses on the development and commercialization of products for the treatment of central nervous system disorders. Headquartered in Washington, DC, the company will be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 GICS Biotechnology Sub-Industry index.
Garrett Motion designs, manufactures and sells highly engineered turbocharger and electric boosting technologies for light and commercial vehicle original equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket. Headquartered in Rolle, Switzerland, the company will be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 GICS Auto Parts & Equipment Sub-Industry index.
