Port St. Joe-Wewahitchka, Florida and Panama City, Florida--(Newsfile Corp. - May 20, 2021) - UAV Corp's (OTC Pink: UMAV) Skyborne Technology (STI) and Gulf Coast State College (GCSC) have executed a binding MOU to secure 3rd Party contracts to add government agencies and commercial companies to advance the technology of the DATT tether-airship utilizing a wireless Broadband communications network for its UAS Systems for 1st responders after a disaster.
The new PHASE II agreement with GCSC is unique to allow government and commercial entities to participate in sponsorship programs to test and evaluate advanced technologies in Realtime on board the tether-airship. Specifically, multiple drones will be in flight and communicating through the mothership (also remotely piloted) to send data to first responders in case of disaster like hurricane Michael. "Our goal is to be testing 5G capabilities with a national carrier late summer followed by flight readiness in case of a disaster or other national needs, stated Michael Lawson CEO of STI."
The DATT SA 70-12 tether-airship is under final construction with an advanced modular semi-rigid design. Currently, the hard structures for engine decks, fuel decks, drone decks are made of aircraft aluminum and can be converted into composite structures. The hard structures are scheduled to be ready for integration onto the airship in June 2021. The inner envelope (helium structure) is scheduled for leak testing late May/June 2021. The flight tests are currently scheduled to start late summer 2021 and set up into three Phases. Phase 1 is to test the DATT airship with manned operations. Phase 2 operations is to test a new Detachable Airship Tether System (DATT) in which the airship can remotely disconnect from the tether in case of tether failure or become mission oriented for remotely piloted operations followed by PHASE 3 remote pilot operations with two UAS (drone) systems on board the mothership.
"The strong relationship between Gulf Coast State College (GCSC) and Skyborne Technology, Inc. (STI) continues to develop and expand in exciting new ways, much the way STI's lighter-than-air UAV technology continues to push beyond existing boundaries and innovate in ways previously unimagined. This next phase of project development throws open the doors for public-private partnerships that will be truly transformational in the industry," stated Dr. John Holdnak, President of Gulf Coast State College.
"We couldn't be more pleased with our growing relationship with Gulf Coast State College and Dr. Holdnak. Our growing public-private partnership has already accelerated our company's growth and provided us with unique revenue and sponsorship opportunities that both the Skyborne Technology and Gulf Coast State College plan to develop in the future. The continued support we have received from the College and Gulf County are helping UAV Corp and Skyborne Technology become a leading Tether-Airship and Drone technology company," Stated Billy Robinson, Chairman of UAV Corp.
