(Nasdaq: VIGL), a clinical-stage biotechnology company committed to harnessing the power of microglia for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, today announced the closing of its initial public offering of 7,000,000 shares of its common stock at a price to the public of $14.00 per share. The gross proceeds of the offering were $98 million, before deducting underwriting discounts and commissions and other offering expenses. In addition, Vigil Neuroscience has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 1,050,000 shares of its common stock at the initial public offering price less underwriting discounts and commissions. The shares began trading on the Nasdaq Global Select Market on January 7, 2022 under the symbol "VIGL." All shares in the offering were offered by Vigil Neuroscience.
