Atlanta, Georgia--(Newsfile Corp. - December 2, 2022) - The World Whiskey Society (WWS) is seeking to transform the status quo in the industry with its new limited-edition collections of hand-crafted whiskies. An independent bottler that sources single-barrel whiskies from different parts of the United States and countries across the world, the company has already made an impact with its custom-made product.

Through the company's innovative barrel finishing, eye-catching packaging, and sourcing of whiskies from different parts of the world, the WWS offers a wider spectrum of flavor and style to discerning buyers within the rare and collectible whisky category.
These whiskies have adopted the practice of barrel finishing by aging whiskies in casks that have previously held other liquors like Armagnac, tequila, shochu, and sherry. This gives the whiskey another layer of flavor and, in addition to its age, a complementing and influential finishing touch.
"We are committed to creating a remarkable product, and on occasion we source something unique and earmark it to sell as a single cask release. We go to great lengths to paint whiskies with flavor by experimenting with different casks, like those made from the extremely rare Japanese Mizunara oak, for deliciously rich whiskies. When a customer buys our product, what they get is not just a whiskey, but a premium collectible that they can be truly proud of," said Dr. Irina Kogan, the founder of the World Whiskey Society.
Every effort is made to search for and source rare whiskies globally, including in Japan, Ireland, Scotland, and the United States. All of WWS's collections comprise whiskey from a single barrel and are thus custom-made on a limited scale. Every bottle is numbered, and since the alcohol percentage varies for each barrel, depending on the collection, the number is hand-printed on the bottle.
The firm's latest edition is exclusive to the range, as well as rare, due to the fact that the whisky occasionally found within the barrel is of particular interest and therefore does not need additional finishing. The Doc Holliday Straight Bourbon Whisky "171st" Birthday Edition is a testament to that.
A single barrel bourbon made in homage to the American gambler, gunfighter, and dentist, John Henry Holliday. True to the spirit of the Wild West, this commemorative, limited edition is a single barrel release that, unlike other bourbons, has a mashbill featuring malted corn. Distilled in 2014 by the Ivy Mountain distillery in Georgia, where there were only 72 barrels of the bourbon left, which were sold and transported to Texas.
In 2021, the barrels were discovered, purchased, and returned by WWS back to its home state. Changes in the maturation climate contributed to the unique flavor profile of the bourbon, making it a one-of-a-kind, sophisticated product. This Doc Holiday release is only available for purchase online.
Great attention is given to the design and finishing of the bottles and the packaging based on the theme of the collection. Whether it's the Reserve Collection, which features 32-year-old Macallan single malt whisky in custom-designed crystal bottles, the Classic Collection, or the Diamond Collection, WWS prides itself on its innovative quest to provide a sophisticated, one-of-a-kind experience.
