Meta Materials Inc. Announces Results of Annual Meeting of Shareholders

HALIFAX, NS / ACCESSWIRE / December 6, 2022 / Meta Materials Inc. (the "Company" or "META®") (NASDAQ:MMAT)(FSE:MMAT), a developer of high-performance functional materials and nanocomposites, today announced the results of its annual meeting of META shareholders, which was held virtually on December 5th. All seven nominees were elected as directors of the Company, KPMG LLP was appointed as auditor of the Company, and the compensation of META's named executive officers was approved on an advisory (nonbinding) basis.

The following persons were elected by the shareholders of META as Directors of the Company, each for a one-year term to expire at the 2023 Annual Meeting of Stockholders, or until their successors are duly elected and qualified or until their earlier resignation or removal:

KPMG LLP was appointed as the Company's independent registered public accounting firm for fiscal year ending December 31, 2022, with 99.5% of votes for and 0.5% of votes withheld.

The compensation of META's named executive officers was approved on a nonbinding (advisory) basis with 96.2% of votes for and 3.8% of votes withheld.
