LEVALLOIS-PERRET (dpa-AFX) - Alstom SA (AOMFF.PK, ALS.L), a French mobility solutions provider, announced on Thursday that together with DT Infrastructure, an Australian provider of engineering and construction services, it has received 1 billion euros contract from the Public Transport Authority of Western Australia or PTA.
The contract is to design, supply, construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of high capacity signaling technology for Perth's suburban rail network.
The contract will be delivered by an alliance comprising the PTA, Alstom, and DT Infrastructure with Alstom's Urbalis CBTC technology installed by DT's expert local workforce.
Once completed, the project will provide Perth with a 40 percent increase in network capacity.
