Innio Group has started operating a combined heat and power (CHP) plant for heating purposes in Austria, while PureWave Hydrogen has told pv magazine that it is exploring geological hydrogen in Kansas using proprietary software and an AI system. Innio Group said it has started operating a 1 MW hydrogen CHP plant in Austria at the beginning of the heating season. The company commissioned the first solution of its kind in Europe in June 2024 at RAG Austria's site in Gampern. It said the project provides the industrial plant with green electricity and heat.
