Swiss energy company CKW says its new tariff, which will calculate prices according to kilowatts, rather than just kilowatt-hours, will incentivize more targeted use of solar power during the day. CKW, a subsidiary of Switzerland-based energy company Axpo, will introduce a new type of electricity tariff in 2025. The tariff will offer incentives to customers that spread their electricity consumption as much as possible throughout the day, in order to prevent power peaks in the grid.
