Toronto, Ontario--(Newsfile Corp. - April 10, 2025) - Northwest Healthcare Properties Real Estate Investment Trust (TSX: NWH.UN) (the 'REIT' or 'Northwest'), a leading owner and operator of healthcare real estate infrastructure in North America, Brazil, Europe and Australasia, announces the sale of its remaining interest in Assura PLC(1) ("Assura") (LSE: AGR), totalling 163.3 million shares, through an on-market transaction for gross proceeds of approximately $139.3 million (£76.8 million). The selling price of £0.47 per share represents a gain of over 20% to the REIT's December 31, 2024, IFRS book value. The proceeds will be used to repay debt and for general trust purposes.
The sale results in the REIT completing the disposition of its UK portfolio for total proceeds of approximately $917.3 million (£514.6 million), which is a gain of approximately $32.3 million (£14.6 million) relative to the price transacted at in August 2024.
